The Role

Swan is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Sales Strategy & Operations to join our team and support the leadership team in driving our sales initiatives to new heights. This role is central to our Sales team and reports to Sales Leadership.

This role is remote and can be based in Americas timezone with coverage of US timezone.

Your responsibilities

  1. Sales Strategy and Planning
    • Collaborate with the Head of Sales, VP of Revenue and Go to Market (GTM) Leads to develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with Swan’s business objectives, with a specific focus of driving Bitcoin adoption.
    • Establish and lead communication and accountability flow within the sales organization that includes: daily Metrics and Results, weekly Sales meetings, monthly leadership reviews, quarterly and yearly planning and budget reviews.
    • Participate in GTM teams and be accountable to develop sales collateral, playbooks, and training materials that resonate with high net worth individuals, entities and businesses and effectively communicate the benefits of Swan products and services.
    • In collaboration with GTM, provide tools and processes to manage leads and clients through the purchase cycle.
    • Utilize your expertise in Bitcoin and knowledge of financial markets to identify growth opportunities, and collaborate with other teams to create and execute effective GTM strategies and initiatives.
  2. Sales Team Support and Enablement
    • Develop and refine sales processes, methodologies, and workflows to maximize efficiency, streamline operations, and accelerate sales cycles.
    • Responsible for CRM system (Salesforce), ensuring data integrity, utilization, and continuous improvement.
    • Identify and implement tools and technologies that enhance sales productivity, enable accurate forecasting, and drive pipeline visibility.
    • Develop and manage a training and onboarding program for sales reps that optimizes the time to onboard and ensures continuous learning of the sales team.
    • Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure timely delivery of qualified leads, optimize lead routing processes, and provide feedback on lead quality and conversion rates.
    • Collaborate with Finance to design and implement a sales commissions process that is efficient, timely, and accurate.
  3. Sales Analytics
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive sales analytics and reporting frameworks to track performance, identify trends, and measure the effectiveness of sales initiatives and campaigns.
    • Provide regular reports and insights to the leadership team, highlighting key metrics, performance indicators, and actionable recommendations.
    • Conduct deep-dive analysis on sales data to identify patterns, customer behavior insights, and opportunities for revenue optimization.
  4. Cross-functional Collaboration
    • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, particularly GTM Leads, Client Services, Onboarding, and Product Managers to ensure alignment of product, sales and marketing strategies.
    • Act as a liaison between the sales team and other departments, facilitating effective communication, knowledge sharing, and collaboration.

Skills and experience that will help you succeed

  • The ideal candidate is a Bitcoin expert with deep knowledge of financial markets, macroeconomics, and Bitcoin fundamentals.
  • Proven experience in sales strategy and operations or a similar role within the fintech, wealth, or technology industry.
  • Strong understanding of wealth and financial markets, including market dynamics, trends, and regulatory considerations related to Bitcoin.
  • Strong analytical skills and expertise in business intelligence tools such as Amazon QuickSight, Datadog, or similar.
  • Experience leading, managing, working with Salesforce or other cloud based enterprise level CRM systems. Salesforce experience and proficiency strongly preferred.
  • Project Management and technical expertise required to successfully lead and participate in the design, implementation, and optimization of the systems and processes that support the sales organization.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience to effectively lead and manage teams and projects involving multiple departments, functions and seniority levels.
